Pate (literally "pasta") is a French culinary invention whose origins date back to the Middle Ages. It is believed that olive pate, also known as tapenade, was first prepared in Provence, although some writings testify that already existed in Greece and Italy. Chinata has selected a range of typical Mediterranean products such as olives, onions, tomatoes, peppers, porcini mushrooms, etc. and has created exquisite ptees that, enriched with the farms flagship product, i.e. extra virgin olive oil, are a tasty and tempting aperitif, even only spread on a slice or on croutons. In addition, the use of this product in the gastronomy is absolutely unlimited... it can be used to season pasta, sauces, pizzas or as an accompaniment for fish dishes, white meats and vegetables. Even added to vinegar, it is an original and innovative way to season your salads. It is recommended, for the preparation of delicious aperitifs, use on olive taralli and crackers from the Gourmet de La Chinata line.
