• We usually dispatch the starfruit when they are green and firm to ensure the fruit gets to you in good condition. . Leave at room temperature and they will ripen within a few days of you receiving the fruit
• Starfruit have 5 ridged egdes and when sliced crossways, the slices are perfect star shapes, hence the name, starfruit
• When picked before being fully ripe, the fruits are firm and green with a crisp citrus like flavour
• If left to ripen fully, the starfruit change to a bright yellow colour and soften
• Once ripe, the starfruit have a sweeter flavour and are then best either juiced or eaten raw out of hand. Starfruit are also often used for decorative purposes. Starfruit are a good source of vitamin c and also contain phosphorus, potassium and niacin
