Using a cold extraction process over months, this vanilla extract contains over 300 unique flavor compounds . From farm to kitchen.
• SHAKE THE BOTTLE WELL before use to fully disperse the seeds to see those vanilla seeds in your custards or desserts, they are not missing, they're sitting at the bottom of the bottle!
• COMOROS VANILLA from the SPICE ISLANDS: The reputational quality of Madagascan vanilla is considered to be at the top end of the scale and is seen on many retail products, desserts, ice cream etc. Did you know however that the lesser-known Spice Islands of COMOROS are also in the Indian Ocean, just north of Madagascar and there the vanilla beans are grown in rich, natural, fertile, volcanic soil? THERE IS A HIGH VANILLAN CONTENT from these pods and the aroma and flavour of our COMOROS pods and extracts really are of the highest quality of all.
• At Artisan Vanilla Company use premium Gourmet Bourbon vanilla pods to make our RICH & LUXURIOUS PURE vanilla extract - NO SUGAR, SWEETENERS OR ADDITIVES. (NOTE: Bourbon is the name given to this species of vanilla, otherwise known as Planifolia vanilla)
• Unfiltered, 100% PURE & NATURAL No additives, No Pesticides, No Machines.
• To experience to full vanilla taste, the extract should be heated according to your recipe. As our RICH & LUXURIOUS PURE vanilla extract is made using a spirit base, the alcohol dissipates during the heating process. It is however safe to add this extract without heating according to taste. The beautiful aroma, exquisite flavour profile and naturally high vanillin content of our Gourmet 'Spice Islands' Comoros Bourbon vanilla beans make them perfect for cooking and baking, infusing in sauces and drinks while heating and adding the wow factor to desserts. Artisan Vanilla Company's Rich & Luxurious Vanilla Extract is made by hand by macerating our premium beans in an ethanol (i.e. vodka) spirit base with nothing else added. We allow these to mature until the exceptional vanillin content is absorbed. L'Artisan Vanilla Company's extracts are unfiltered. We do not remove the seeds from our extracts for re-use (or to sell as a separate product) leaving them in provides that attractive vanilla flecking, and don't we all want to see that in the final product?
