• Goose cinquefoil is a perennial plant that occurs commonly in the northern part of Europe, Asia and North America. In Europe, it is a common species, most often found in river valleys, in wet meadows, on the banks of rivers and ponds and in pastures. Although it is eagerly eaten by animals (especially domestic fowl, from which its regional name "goose grass" comes from), it is considered a troublesome weed. In fact - it spreads easily through underground rhizomes, sometimes massively covering large areas. It develops small, yellow flowers with a high nectar content, being a melliferous plant.

RAW MATERIAL: Potentillae anserinae herb Contains gallic, catechuic and ellagic acid, catechins, proanthocyanidins, triterpenes, quercetin, kaempferol. Tannin content ranges from 5 to 12%. ACTION Goose cinquefoil is primarily characterized by astringent and antidiarrheal properties. It helps regulate digestion, reduces discomfort caused by gastritis, prevents colic and intestinal flatulence. At the same time, it has a strong antispasmodic effect on smooth muscles. Thus, it reduces pain caused by spasms of the uterus, gallbladder or digestive system organs. It improves appetite, increases bile secretion and improves metabolism. It stops minor internal bleeding and prevents swelling and exudates. It has slight antiseptic and antibacterial properties. It can be used externally to rinse the mouth and wash diseased skin. APPLICATION Goose cinquefoil is used in stomach and intestinal diseases, especially in catarrh, diarrhea, indigestion, peptic ulcer disease and irritable bowel syndrome. It helps with flatulence and colic, to regulate digestion and normalize bowel movements. Helps in painful menstruation, gallstones and kidney stones, in bile secretion deficiency and protectively in liver diseases. Helps, with other herbs, in inflammations of the skin and mucous membranes, also in colds, angina and respiratory diseases. It can be used externally to wash the body in seborrhea, ulcers, skin wounds, as well as to strengthen subcutaneous, capillary blood vessels. STORAGE METHOD It should be stored out of reach and sight of children, in closed packaging, protected from light and moisture. EXAMPLE FORM OF APPLICATION Decoction Pour 200 ml of cold water over 2 teaspoons of goose cinquefoil. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Then leave to infuse covered for 30 minutes. Top up the evaporated water to 1 cup. Drink 100 ml 3 times a day for gastrointestinal problems, diarrhea and sore throat. Infusion Pour 2 teaspoons of silverwort herb with 200 ml of boiling water. Leave to infuse covered for 20 minutes, strain. Drink 100 ml 3 times a day. Vinegar Pour 150 ml of 5% vinegar over 50 g of silverwort herb and leave to macerate for 7 days. Filter and pour into a bottle. Take 2 times a day, 1 teaspoon diluted in 1 glass of water for intestinal infections and inflammations of the digestive tract organs, and externally to tone oily and normal skin. Tincture Pour 250 ml of 40-60% alcohol heated to 50 degrees Celsius over 50 g of silverwort herb. Leave in a dark place to macerate for 14 days. Filter, pour into a bottle. Take up to two times a day, 10 ml diluted in 100 ml of water.
