Description
- ORIGIN: Our Ceylon OP Long Leaf tea comes from the Dimbula district of Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon) island country in the Indian Ocean. The island's unique climate and altitude (2000 6000 feet above sea level) contribute to the tea's distinctive qualities.
- ABOUT: The tea consists of large, whole leaves. The leaves are tightly rolled and have a wiry appearance. When brewed, Ceylon tea produces a nice, medium-bodied, amber-coloured liquor with a bright yet subtle flavour profile with sweet undertones.
- BENEFITS: Ceylon tea contains antioxidants. It is also known to contain higher levels of potassium than other black teas one cup can have up to 25mg of potassium (this tea has not been tested for potassium content). Its moderate-to-high caffeine levels may provide an energy boost.
- USES: This tea is versatile and can be enjoyed on its own or with milk and sugar, making it suitable for both traditional Western-style tea preparation and Eastern-style tea consumption.
- BREWING: Allow 1- 1 teaspoon per cup. Pour the freshly boiled water onto the leaves. Steep for 3 to 5 minutes. The brewing time and water temperature can be adjusted based on personal preferences.
