He began selling his artisan chocolates to the citys elite until it grew into one of the finest chocolatiers on the planet. Gabriels grandson, Antoni Amatller i Costa, took over the family business almost a decade later. As an art collector and patron, the entrepreneurial Antoni had the idea to start creating collectible cards and posters. These were by artists such as Alphonse Mucha, Apelles Mestres and Alexandre de Riqueras, and accompanied the chocolates. His artistic eye and pioneering flair live on today in the brands beautiful packaging and attention to detail
